Serving Those Who Need it Most!

Our Church - for the past 2 years has made an effort to impact the community of Cedar Rapids...with the Great Grocery Giveaway....100's of volunteers came together to go door to door inviting people into our church...to be blessed....we purchased groceries from a local grocery store (they let us buy them at their cost) and made bags of groceries for each family (in total they left with 4 bags each) to feed them hopefully for a week...

I wish I had a picture of the assembly line that it took to prepare these bags...but here is one section's finished result. Their were 4 different stations...


Sunday Morning Marissa and I got up bright and early to go help prepare food for the meal that we were serving them.


What a great family memory!


This is the part I never want to forget! On Sunday, when it was time to serve the meal, most people were skipping the lunch just to make sure they got in line for the groceries. They would have rather had a week's worth of food than just one meal. How blessed we truly are Lord! Thank YOU!
