Friday's Progress - 10/29/10

We now have a road...this post will show the beginning to end for our street! This is huge for us because we now can put in our driveway and our garage floor late this week or the beginning of the following week. It also means that they can then have the utilities put in! Which is wonderful news as well!



Here it comes....


many loads of concrete, just to get the section of the street done in front of our house. I counted 8 truck loads....


This is a picture of them lining up to fill the paver.....they had to slow down because they did not have enough trucks to keep it moving without stopping.


Here there are filling in the section between the new road and the old....


Here they are working around the manhole in the street.....

On Friday, the framers were busy installing the sub-floor in the floor joists for the main level of the house....



This picture is taken from where Mark and I's bedroom will be located and what we will see out our bedroom window....we have a huge picture window in our room - 8 feet by 5 feet....what a beautiful view!


In this picture I am standing in the corner of the Great Room - and Mark is standing where our island in our kitchen will be - that is how big the main area of the house is - plus we have a very large room for our family room in the basement!


Here is the sub-floor completed- you can't see it very well in the picture, but you can kind of see some of the red chalk lines for the where the walls will be placed.....

The plan for next week is to complete the interior walls, put the outside plywood on and hopefully get the frame on the outside completed....possibly at the end of the week we will have a driveway - and maybe a roof - not sure yet on the shingles....

The weather this week will be beautiful for the first week of November....NO RAIN - MID TO UPPER 50's all week - perfect building weather!
