THE BIG ADVENTURE!

In August, we took a family vacation to South Dakota....we got in our car on the 8th and headed to our friends in Wagner, SD. My friend Kim and her family have recently built a new home so we got to see it and vistit for a day and a half....

We visited the Ft. Randall dam in Pickstown, SD...I did not put any pictures in here of the dam, but it was really cool....

When we headed out of Wagner, we headed west and our first stop was the Badlands National Park....

WE love the rocks and all the beautiful scenary....

We had people take our picture when we were there...it was great!

We visited Memorial Park in Rapid City, SD which has this exhibt of pieces of the Berlin wall....

This is the sign that was in Berlin .....

These are two pieces of the wall ...they have sandblasted them clean, but the history was very powerful....

This is the place we stayed at in Rapid....It was nice to hang...we were able to make our own food there...we had our own little fridge...and it had a nice pool too...

We headed out to Mount Rushmore....we went in the evening...and we got to expirence the program that they have at dark...wow if you ever go to the Black Hills plan on this .....

Each of us had to give a report on something we did while in South Dakota...here is Hannie and Lauren giving theirs on Mt. Rushmore...

We had a great week.....and this was the cherry on top! Being with those we love...

Just to say they were there...

The drive home is always longer on the way home then on the way there...but we enjoyed every moment...
